Question 3

In Barry's closing statement I really feel like he is trying to make us somewhat aware of what we are doing environmentally. Maybe wants us to think about what we are doing and how we are treating in respect. Instead of thinking God made me and I can do as I somewhat please. Maybe think about it in the way that God made us all even the creatures that aren't humans. He made nature and maybe we should be treating it better, rather than tearing it down and killing it. He wants us to think of the issues in nature from a moral and more scripture look. What does scripture say about nature? Should we be killing whole species to build a new mall? Is that what we really should be doing? Would God be happy with us for doing this? I really do not think the answers to these questions would be very good ones. We are tearing down what was created for us and not really caring. I also think he meant to refer to other issues in a more theological and ethical way. Such as maybe natural disasters, in the bible a lot of the things that happened natural disaster wise was caused by people's behavior and God was angry with them. That can definitely be looked at in a scripture and moral view when you think about it. If morally you aren't doing the right thing could bad things happen in nature because of it? Im not saying that one person alone could make a natural disaster happen but, rather a whole city being morally corrupt could cause it. At least that is what scripture would say about that.
