The End is Near?

Everyone in the world has heard the saying that the end is near. Many people believe the end of days is coming it's going to be hell on earth. But after that it's going to be a heavenly earth. Thipredominantly seen in the book of revelations in Christianity, but even that book it is very difficult to understand because you have to interpret a lot of what goes into it. As I think about this it reminds me of a conversation that was had in free-speech alley. One of the crazed Christianity groups was out there yelling at us and I asked them if they believe that the book of revelations is going to happen exactly as it does. They said it will literally happened exactly the way it says. Revelations chapter 13 "rising up out of the sea, having seven heads and 10 horns, and upon his horns 10 crowns, and upon his head the name of blasphemy" When I motion this they immediately stopped talking to me and I think It was that they couldn't answer the question that was presented. The book of revelations is an encrypted book that you have to devote your entire life to trying to open it up and look at it. Many people have used this book too justified their reasons for predicting the end of days. The way that I look at it is that no one really knows if it's going to happen the way the book says are not. Who knows if seven headed beast is going to rise from the sea or if,

 Jesus is going to come back and ride a dinosaur into the apocalypse and have two unicorns fighting each other for the lives of humanity. Christians take this book and can't even understand it but they expect nonbelievers to have a firm grasp of the end of days and the importance of it. If Christian theologians and the heads of Christian churches can't understand the end of days and the book of revelations how can we? I think that the end of days prophecies are interesting but I don't think that anyone can give validation to anything that someone comes up with because no one truly knows. I have personally tried to read the book of revelations and I've gotten frustrated because of all of the imagery that you have to try to guess what it is. The book of revelations is more like a horrifying story that you tell children at night. My thought on it is no matter what religion or race you are we have our own opinions on what's going to happen in the end. The Islamic people believe that Allah will have a great battle at the end of days and the Buddhist also believe this too. The Jewish Torah speaks of the end of days which is similar to that of Christianity. The end of the world is coming according to all race and religion in the world. We just have to sit back and find out who was actually telling the truth.
